It is true, success does leave clues just as Tony tells us and I will share here how a FaceBook post led me to write this article for my readers of the 10 Weeks with the Cosmos, Lesson #2. I will share the entire article here and if you love it, I recommend that you consider enrolling in the entire 10-week course; it is absolutely at no cost.
So here's the article, including the FaceBook mention. Please leave your comments below and join if you like what you've read. By the way, you can get your "Daily Dose of the Cosmos" (Daily Wisdom online or in your email) CLICK HERE.
10 Weeks with the Cosmos LESSON 2:
I think I will probably “congratulate” you every week as we build your future together. Everything one does, even in a minute form, create one’s future. So, by participating in these 10 Weeks with the Cosmos in a big or small way, your future will be impacted.
Did you participate in a big or a small way with last week’s material? Don’t feel bad if you didn’t do as much as you wanted to do; everything takes time and this is no different. I told you last week that you should plan out what you want to do during each day for 7 days in the morning, look at it through your day and evaluate what you did each night. This is a new routine for most and takes discipline and creates a wonderful habit that you can continue all of your life from here out.
Most people have a FaceBook account and I’m thinking that you also have one. Regardless, I will share with you an episode which I had last week and will use it to create an “assignment” for you to do this week. (Incorporate last week’s planning system into your life and continue with that as well).
Someone “shared” and continue a viral post which declared 3 points and then expounded on each. I won’t go into everything that was shared but here are the 3: STAY FOCUSED, STAY MOTIVATED and TAKE IT EASY.
There were “loads” of comments but here is mine:
So now how many people reading this post will actually heed its words and do something in their life with it? If you are serious, take a three-by-five card or piece of paper write one goal on it with a date and then write these three steps that were mentioned here. Now look at it every day for 7 Days, put a hash mark for every day that you look at it and you should look at it three times. Do those for 3 times a day for 7 days and then get back to me. Otherwise just keep on scrolling. Because it doesn't matter how many posts like this you see, it doesn't mean and won't mean anything.
Later, I actually had to find this post and get out my own 3 x 5 card and take my own advice. This week, this is how I want you to incorporate the Cosmos Wisdom Byte into your life. First, write it down (you can do this with any goal but here we are working with one Wisdom Byte). Then “stay focused” with it by looking at it 3 times a day. On the card somewhere write the numbers 1 through 7 (for the 7 days) and follow each with hash marks for each time you looked at the card during the day and at the end of the week, you’ll see how “focused” you were. Now if this was a goal (we’ll say in this example that you want a new car) you would stay “motivated” by looking at pictures daily of the car, go “window shopping” at a dealership, take a test drive, have a picture as a screen saver on your computer, etc. Here you might write out the Wisdom Byte often, share it in conversation, etc. And finally, “take it easy”. The Universe “likes speed” but also does things in its own time. And as I mentioned, don’t “beat yourself up” if you didn’t do as well as you would have liked with Lesson #1.
What you’ve read in the last paragraph is “gold”. When you follow that system for anything you want to do, be, do and have, you will; when you follow that system. Now let’s look at this week’s Cosmos Wisdom Byte.
Victim or Victor?
Quit needing.
Start leading.
A.K. Cosmos
PS. I am, or…
We may think that the “victim” mentality is a “new” thing but when partly quoting Solomon who told us that “There is nothing new under the sun” we could easily see how “somethings never change” and one thing which never will is wisdom.
Since we create things with our thoughts, when we think we are a victim, we ARE a victim and will continue to be, become and always live having people, things and situations “victimize” us; they can’t help it, they are simply following your thought commands. We cannot control others, we can only control ourselves and the way to “control” ourselves is to get a handle on our thoughts.
When we believe that we are a victor, we will see things; as little as they may be, but we will see them as victories. And victories will build on victories until we are victorious to the point that we’ll look back and hardly recognize our previous self.
Victims “need”.
I remember that I thought that others must have gotten a handout from their parents get started right in life, I thought that if only I could get a “shot in the arm” financially that I could get ahead. I “needed” things. And as long as I needed things, I certainly did “need” things. Sometimes I would get things from friends, money, hand me down clothes, worn out clothes and even help by mechanic friends to fix those worn out cars. I needed to be on “food stamps” (SNAP program now), I needed to donate plasma, I needed to be at the food shelf one day a week to get the food that I “needed”.
Leaders “lead”.
When you become a leader, things change. Now when I was needing I couldn’t see myself as a leader; “leader” was way out there. Sure, I could be a leader someday but right now I “need” to do this and that…
The definition of a leader is turning around and seeing people following you; that’s all. You can lead them to a better life or you can lead them to destruction. When we have 3rd generation kids never knowing anything but welfare, that is going the wrong direction. So you start becoming a leader one “lead” step at a time and the first is giving.
Everyone has something to give, a smile, an hour of their time doing something, offering directions, etc. And it takes some trust and faith. You have to say “no” to some “needy” things you are doing and wean yourself away from them. Build that “faith” and courage by using the “I Am” in the PS of that Wisdom Byte. I am strong, I am rich, I am a leader, etc. It may sound corny at first but speaking words of “I am” daily and out loud, will change your future.
So you have your assignment already. Don’t forget that you have daily contact with me via this email. Just reply with up to one question/comment per day for these 7 days about this Lesson #2 topic. I will then publish it at Answers from the Cosmos.
I look forward to your thoughts or questions. Otherwise, I’ll see you with next week’s wisdom byte. Also remember, that every morning there is a new wisdom byte for you to ponder. Just bookmark it so you’ll be able to get to it easy or subscribe by going to Amazon.
Make it a great day!
